The Wisest Priority

In the eyes of God, the wisest thing we can do as individuals and as a congregation is

to be faithful in evangelism. The soul is of great worth. Jesus said, "What shall it

profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his own soul?" That one soul is more

valuable than the amassed wealth of the entire planet.

Jesus died on the cross and paid with His blood the price required to redeem our souls. That's how much He values and desires our souls. We are made in the image of God, and our souls are endless and measureless. Every human soul will either be redeemed and transformed into the likeness of Christ to spend eternity in glory with Him or reman lost in sin to spend eternity in the lake of fire. Our Lord has commanded us to be His witnesses. We are to go and make disciples. We are to tell people of Jesus who died and rose again that they might be saved.
